 Shukan Ryu Karate teaches a Wado Ryu based system of Karate and will diversify into other styles of Martial arts. The Shukan Ryu system was established in 1995 by Sensei Paul Knight 4Th Dan, beginning life as Penlan Karate Club.
There are now classes taught at four venues in the Swansea and Llanelli areas (For details on classes see our Club locations). Our style of Karate may be effectively learned and practiced by children, men and women of all ages. We actively encourage family participation as we are a family run organization. Our aim is to produce good quality martial artists with self confidence, respect and discipline.
We offer the opportunity for our students to participate in sport Karate by entering competition, both local and abroad. Many of our students attend squad training sessions with the Welsh Karate Governing Body where they can be, and have been selected to represent their country.
